Choose the closest supported option
Use English (Nigeria) for Nigerian English recordings and Nigerian Pidgin English for Pidgin-heavy audio. If the speaker switches frequently, test the option that matches the main part of the message.
Auto detect can help when you are unsure, but the transcript should still be reviewed for names, slang, and local phrasing.
Clean voice notes matter
Many voice notes are recorded on busy streets, in shops, or in group settings. Background voices and traffic noise can reduce transcript quality.
For important business audio, ask the sender to record again in a quieter place if the first transcript misses key details.
Recommendations
- Use the Nigeria-specific English option for Nigerian English.
- Use Nigerian Pidgin English for Pidgin-heavy messages.
- Review customer names, addresses, prices, and dates manually.
Limitations
- Local slang and mixed-language phrasing may need correction.
- The tool does not guarantee speaker identification.
