Browser recording is useful for quick notes when no audio file exists yet.

Prepare the recording environment

Before pressing record, reduce background noise and check microphone permission. A short test recording saves time if your microphone is muted or too far away.

Speak at a steady pace and pause briefly between topics. This makes the transcript easier to read and edit.

Review before transcribing

Play the recording back if the content matters. If the recording is silent, distorted, or interrupted, record it again instead of transcribing a poor source.

Short clips are easier to review and correct than long unplanned recordings.

Recommendations

  • Use Record for quick spoken notes, memos, and short explanations.
  • Use Upload for recordings already saved by another app.
  • Keep the browser tab open until processing finishes.

Limitations

  • Recording requires microphone permission.
  • Browser or device settings may limit recording behavior.
